Jolly Reindeer was created for those who like to think about Christmas (and plan for it) throughout the whole year. Not because we leave our lights up (I take mine down by January 15) or wear red all the time, but simply because thinking and planning for the Holiday Season makes us feel good — the songs, the family time, the  smiles, the decorations, and of course — the peace on Earth and Good Will. I mean really, laugh if you want, but aren’t there worse things to be than a Christmas Geek?

One of the best things about Santa’s Season is coming across all the beautiful books, decorations, new movies and gift items that are presented for the holidays. Every industry, whether it be entertainment, travel, gift or publishing wants to WOW us at Christmastime. And that’s what this site is all about. Finding out what’s happening in the Christmas, Toy, Entertainment and Travel industries — and pass that information to you.

But the Christmas Spirit extends beyond shopping and entertainment. While we don’t address specific religious beliefs — as everyone celebrates the holidays in different ways — we do provide a “Giving” section that will be updated regularly with profiles on worthwhile organizations.

So, are you one of us? A Christmas Geek? If you’re here and it’s February, well, I think maybe you are. Do you hum Christmas Carols to feel better? (If you don’t, try it and see if it doesn’t help put you in a better mood!) Do you make mental notes when in stores about what you might get someone for Christmas, even though it’s eight months away? Do you collect Christmas ornaments, or watch seasonal movies, no matter what time of the year?

If so, welcome to the club and be prepared to catch up on the latest news regarding Christmas gifts, entertainment, toys, travel ideas and  more. Maybe you’ll see a new product that will make a great gift. Maybe you’ll find a wonderful place to vacation with the family. Or maybe you’ll learn something new. Whatever you take away from the site, I hope you leave feeling good.
