Post Offices & Towns With Christmas Names
The United States Post Office has a lot of holiday spirit, and they’ve got the postmarks to prove it!
While “Clinton” is the most popular post office name in the country — and “Franklin,” “Madison,” and “Washington” tie for second — there are a few other places that take your letter to Santa Claus much more seriously.
Below is a list of post offices and towns that have names that can be associated with the Christmas season. Anyone who is interested can obtain a postmark from these post offices by doing the following:
- Address the postcard or envelope on which you would like the postmark to appear.
- Place a stamp on that addressed postcard or envelope.
- Place the addressed, stamped postcard or envelope into another envelope and, in clear print on bottom left corner, label it “Christmas re-mailing.”
- Address the envelope to the postmaster of the town whose postmark you desire.
- Be sure to allow enough time for postmarking, re-mailing, and delivery.
